SUPPORT OUR WORK

Cost & Funding Request

NACV proposes a cost of approximately $6,700 per veteran for the 12–16 week program, which includes staffing, stipends, and two months of housing. The initial pilot would enroll 100 veterans, scaling up to 250 within the first year based on results. NACV requests VA assistance with meeting space, transportation, and light refreshments, though they are prepared to secure these independently if necessary

Collaboration with VA, Other Agencies, and VSOs

The GE model is designed for integration with the VA’s hospitals, VISNs, regional offices, and partner organizations, including Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs). NACV emphasizes that collaboration — across federal, state, local, and nonprofit agencies — is critical to ensure timely, comprehensive care. They also propose revitalizing VSOs by actively involving them in veteran support services and community outreach.
